In case you have children around the house or you own an Internet kiosk, you may want to block certain websites from being accessed on your computer. This can be performed easily by installing WebAllow. As its name clearly states, this Windows program enables you to allow only specific websites to be accessed through Internet Explorer.

After the program is installed and launched, the user will see some sample websites which are present in the program's interface. These links can be easily modified and the user can also add new ones. The program can work in two modes, either allowing all websites to be accessed freely or only allowing the websites in the list to be accessed.

Any website can be added to the list of allowed websites. Besides that, by entering the * symbol in front of a website domain, you are able to access any sub-domain related to that site. You can protect the program's access with a password, so that only authorized users can access it and modify its preferences. What's more, you can protect the program from being uninstalled.

The list of websites can be saved to a file and imported into WebAllow later on. This feature is useful in case the application needs to be re-installed.
